Seat Selection

You can select your preferred window, aisle, or extra legroom seat online either right after you book your flight or later via “My booking “(up until 48 hours prior to departure).

If you prefer not to book one, we will assign a random seat for you during check-in free of charge, 48 hours before flight departure.

Charges for seat reservations

The following charges apply for advance seat selection, seat selection is offered free of charge for some flexible fare types:

Aisle seat: starting from EUR 10 or equivalent.
Window seat: starting from EUR 10 or equivalent.
Exit seat: starting from EUR 20 or equivalent.
Extra legroom seat: starting from EUR 20 or equivalent.

The following charges apply for seat selection at the airport:

Exit seat: starting from 30 EUR + airport sub charges.
First row: starting from 30 EUR + airport sub charges.

Info to Family Seating

Air Cairo will do everything possible to ensure children under the age of 12 are seated close to their accompanying family member. If you are travelling with children or infants, we recommend booking early and selecting seat assignments when you book. You can select seats through AIRCAIRO.COM, APP, Call center or your travel agent.

There may be additional charges for seat assignments depending on which fare you select. If you do not select your seats in advance, we will do our best to find adjoining seats for your family on the same reservation in the cabin you booked. However, available seats may be limited at that time
Air Cairo will make sure all reasonable effort is made by its staff, flight attendants and through in-flight procedures, to seat children under the age of 12 next to their accompanying adult.

Exit row seat requirements and conditions

Safety regulations issued by the authorities prohibit certain persons from sitting next to the emergency exit. These passengers are:

Infants and children under 14 years of age
Persons travelling with infants or children under 14 years of age
Passengers travelling with someone who needs assistance in an emergency e.g., an infant or child unless there is another guardian seated elsewhere with the child.
Persons travelling with pets in the cabin or with a service dog.
Expectant mothers
Physically and/or mentally disabled passengers
Passengers with limited mobility due to body size, illness, or age
Persons not willing and unable to move quickly and can assist crew in an emergency.

To sit in an exit row seat, you must...

Be willing and able to listen to a briefing, check outside conditions and follow instructions given in English by crew.
Be physically able to reach, open, lift and throw out an emergency exit up to twenty (20) kgs.
Not have an amputated or prosthetic limb.
Not have a visual impairment that is not corrected by use of spectacles/glasses/contact lenses, which must be worn during taxi, take-off, and landing.
Not have a hearing impairment that is not corrected by use of a hearing aid/device, which must be worn during taxi, take-off, and landing.
Not utilize any part of the Aircraft door (or its surrounding area) to rest your feet, or any other personal item(s).

You must also be willing to assist the cabin crew in a flight-related emergency. For safety reasons, our check-in agents and the cabin crew must verify the information you provide. Air Cairo reserves the right to reseat you if necessary.

Please note: The adjustability of the backrest is limited on some exit seats.

Air Cairo Team has also the right to change your seat at any time, at check-in or boarding, to determine after checking that the passenger meets the requirements to sit in an exit row seat. If the passenger does not meet the requirements, they will be assigned a different seat

Restrictions for seat reservations

Air Cairo reserves the right to change the prepaid seat before and after boarding the aircraft for safety reasons or any reason related to safety procedures and that when the guest does not adhere by the set-out safety conditions that approved by guest during the online or mobile booking of the seat.

Seat selection is non- refundable.
In the event of an aircraft change, the same or a similar seat may be allocated. Passengers will not be contacted if this occurs before check-in but may check the position of the allocated seat online via manage booking.
Seat requests cannot be guaranteed as they may need to be changed for operational, safety or security reasons, even after boarding the aircraft.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve seats on flights operated by other airlines (except the code share flights which you booked from Air Cairo website).
Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve seats on flights operated by other airlines (including feeder and connecting flights).
We regret that your seat reservation cannot be maintained if there is a short notice change in the aircraft type.
Depending on the booking status in Business, it may happen that you will get assigned a seat other than the one selected. If this happens, we will do our best to find you a similar seat.
