As Part of Its International Expansion Strategy, AIRCAIRO Transfers All Türkiye Operations to iGA Istanbul Airport

As another milestone in its ambitious regional and international growth strategy, AIRCAIRO has announced the transfer of all its Türkiye operations to iGA Istanbul Airport, reinforcing the airline's commitment to expanding its international footprint and strengthening its route network to meet the growing demand for air travel.

The airline successfully launched its first scheduled flight to and from iGA Istanbul Airport on 23 July, marking the beginning of a new phase in its expansion journey. AIRCAIRO now operates a daily scheduled service between Cairo and Istanbul, providing passengers with greater travel flexibility, enhanced connectivity, and a seamless travel experience through one of the world's leading global aviation hubs.

This strategic move forms part of a broader partnership aimed at strengthening tourism, business travel, trade, investment, and cultural exchange between Egypt and Türkiye, further highlighting AIRCAIRO's growing role in enhancing both regional and international air connectivity.

As part of its continued network expansion, AIRCAIRO will launch direct scheduled services between Istanbul and Sharm El-Sheikh on 26 October 2026, followed by direct flights to Hurghada on 26 December 2026. These new services will provide travelers with direct access to Egypt's premier Red Sea destinations while supporting the continued growth of inbound tourism from the Turkish market and beyond.

By the end of 2026, AIRCAIRO will operate 11 weekly frequencies between Istanbul and Egypt, serving Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Hurghada. Bookings are now open across all three routes, offering passengers greater flexibility, faster access to reservations, and a wider choice of travel options throughout the year.

Commenting on this milestone, Mr. Hussein Sherif, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AIRCAIRO, said:
"The transfer of all AIRCAIRO Türkiye operations to iGA Istanbul Airport marks another important milestone in our corporate growth strategy. It reflects our continued commitment to expanding our international network through partnerships with leading global airports, enabling us to strengthen our route network, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver superior connectivity and an enhanced travel experience for our customers."

He added:
"This expansion also reflects our vision of strengthening direct air connectivity between Egypt and Türkiye, not only through Cairo but also by linking Istanbul with Egypt's premier leisure destinations, Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada. These services will further support inbound tourism, reinforce Egypt's position as a world-class tourism destination, and contribute to increased trade and investment between our two countries."

Mr. Sherif further emphasized that AIRCAIRO remains committed to implementing its ambitious expansion strategy by adding new international destinations and increasing capacity across high-potential markets, further enhancing the airline's competitiveness while responding to the sustained growth in regional and international travel demand.

AIRCAIRO continues to invest in fleet modernization, operational excellence, digital transformation, and customer experience enhancement, reaffirming its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, efficient, and value-driven air transport services while supporting the continued development of Egypt's civil aviation and tourism sectors and strengthening its position as one of Egypt's fastest-growing airlines in regional and international markets.
